| FROM THE FIRST OFFICER The new Chapter patches are in! They look great and are a big hit!! To receive yours, see Suzanne at any regular Tuesday bike night. The cost of the patch is $5.00 for any member who does not currently have the old patch. However, for anyone who does have the old patch, we have decided to offer a "patch exchange" program. This exchange program is quite unique and works like this. If you have the old patch, you can buy the new one, if you want, at the reduced rate of $3.00 and ... the best part is, you get to keep the old one! I know, not exactly an "exchange", but the name sounded good, so we went with it. I am asking for all members to consider becoming involved in your chapter. To start, I need Road Captains, to plan and lead chapter rides. Many of you may think this is a huge task, but it's not. It can be as simple as 2 members pairing up as a Road Captain/Tailgunner team and working together to plan and lead a ride together every couple of months. So, let's think about this. If we had just 4 new teams (8 members) volunteer to do this, say 2 teams volunteering for odd months and 2 for even. You would only have to plan and lead once every other month and we'd still be able to offer 2 rides to members each month. Further, if you take turns leading, then you would only have to lead a ride every 4 months... now how hard is that?! Actually it sounds pretty dang easy doesn't it? So, as you read this, think about it... if you don't step up... who will?! And... the best part of all... YOU get to decide where we go.. not some other joker.. how can you beat it? |
| SOUTHERN CRUISERS MAIN WEB SITE The New SCRC Members Roster and website is now active at http://www.southerncruisers.net. E-mails were sent to all SCRC members. This e-mail was in the form of a "Welcome" message, as if you were a new member. This e-mail included logon information for the new Southern Cruiser's website. The emails going out may take a day or so before you receive it as they are all personalized for each member and this will take several hours to generate. If you have not received an email with your logon info it could be due to inaccurate info on the current roster. Contact your First Officer (kgriffin239@comcast.net) and give him your correct email address and they will change it. Once your information is updated you can go to the login screen and select "I Lost My Password" and a new password will be sent to your updated email address. Once you can access your info please review it and make sure all the other info is correct. We will be doing this for some of you who have provided us corrected e-mail addresses over the past few months, so look for 2 e-mails; a copy of the Welcome e-mail and one following with your logon information from National SCRC. |
